The instructor Stalford Sunderland is absolutely amazing. Dental assistant school was a really great experience for me. The program was hands-on and actually prepared me for what it’s like to work in a real dental office. The instructor Stalford Was helpful, patient, and made sure we understood both the clinical skills and the classroom material. I liked that we didn’t just sit and listen—we practiced things like X-rays, charting, sterilization, and assisting chairside, which made me feel confident going into the field. The program was well-organized and supportive, and I always felt encouraged to ask questions and improve. I would definitely recommend this school to anyone who wants a career in dental assisting and wants real-world training, not just textbook learning.

We had our last class today, and I cannot sing Stalford Sunderland's praises enough as an instructor!!! She's the only reason I stuck through the course. She listened to every recommendation we had during labs and worked with us to reach our individual goals. The rest of the advisors and online assistance may leave something to be desired but it's not necessary. I recommend the Uptown location solely for Stalford and why I put 5 stars.
