Radiography: To legally operate dental X-ray equipment and perform dental radiographic procedures, a dental assistant must obtain a permit from the Oklahoma Board of Dentistry. The school assists registering the students for the Radiology Safety course/permit.

Credentials on completion: “Certificate of Completion”
Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification - Certified through the American Heart Association - Background check guidance: The dental assistant permit application contains questions regarding disciplinary actions working in the dental field, or any general disciplinary actions other than traffic violations. It is recommended that the potential student contact the OK Dental Board to determine if their situation will allow for an application of a dental permit.
